The publishing house "Коммерсант" has build up a budget with expectations of 30% decrease from advertisement incomes in 2009 - says "Газета" (GZT.RU) with reference to the statement of publishing house commercial manager Pavel Filenkov.
Filenkov noted that 30% decrease is the most pessimistic forecast. Reduction of incomes by 20% is more likely to happen. He added that depending on advertisers' orders incomes may even increase by 10% in 2009.
The publishing house was forced to cut salaries for its staff. It was made by staff number cutting without decreasing salaries for remaining employees.
According to the Head of Rospechat Mikhail Seslavinskii somewhere between 20 and 40 editorial offices may stop functioning in 2009. This means that advertisement budget will be re-distributed among remaining companies.
