The Wall Street Journal Ex Editorinchief to become Head of Editorial staff of The Washington Post newspaper

According to AFP Marcus Brauchli, who previously was Editor-in-chief of The Wall Street Journal, is going to take a position of The Washington Post newspaper Editor-in-chief.

It was said in the statement concerning the new appointment which was spread by The Washington Post on Monday that Brauchli is going to head not only editorial staff of the newspaper, but also its Internet - version washingtonpost.com.

Marcus Brauchli left The Wall Street Journal in April, 2008 - four month after the editorial office was bought by News Corp. that belongs to media - magnate Rupert Murdoch.

Previous editor-in-chief of The Washington Post Leonard Downie Jr. announced his retirement at the end of June, 2008.
